Adventures in cooking - Lauren & Amy style

So I decided to make Oreo truffles for Andrew as a welcome home present. The recipe (courtesy of the Six Sisters) looked.easy enough & I enlisted Amy to help.
Things started out great & the Oreo balls were delicious, but when it came time to dip them in the white chocolate things started to get adventurous...

Thankfully it all worked out in the end & they're delicious!

I rolled the extra balls in the left over oreo crumbs when the chocolate failed :)

Le Book

Le sigh. Looking for a publisher/ literary agent is exhausting. I suppose if it was easy, everyone would be published. Found a few maybes so we'll see. Positive response from everyone whose read my book so far, so I feel like that's a good sign.

Work Tomorrow....

SO not ready to go back. 5 days off is too long. It's spoiled me :P and I really like my job so it's sayin somethin that I don't want to go back. Haha. Well, I'm sure it'll be great once I get my lazy bum outta bed tomorrow. Hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a lovely holiday! Looking forward to the new year :)

Monday

Walked up Kennesaw with Jen today for the 1st time in 2 weeks. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The weather was so awesome. Plus they still had up the field of flags which was pretty amazing.

Still waiting to hear about this job at the EMA...so wish me luck. Also still waiting for the carpet people to come and replace our carpet padding. But yea...basically I'm just enjoying this beautiful Fall weather and loving life :)
